Mary's Center Needs YOU!!!
Event: Volunteers Needed
When: NOW
Where: 2333 Ontario Road NW, Wash DC

Do you have the time and commitment to work in conjunction with Mary's Center staff --yet independently-- to develop projects that will improve the health and well being of our community? If so, the volunteer possibilities are endless

Mary's Center was established in 1988 with joint funding from the DC Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs and the DC Commission of Public Health to address the demand for Spanish-speaking maternal and pediatric services in the predominately Latino areas of Ward One. Today, the Center serves a multicultural population residing in every Ward of the city, with a focus on families who work in jobs where health insurance is not available.

The Mary's Center tutoring program, Homework Helpers, is in dire need of volunteer tutors! Homework Helpers operates on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 PM and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. We especially need tutors on Wednesday as we have 23- 28 Peer Educators from the Teen Program who need one-on-one tutoring, in addition to our younger students! We offer one-on-one tutoring services throughout the year to students pre-K through high school.

Please contact Andrea Cole at 202-420-7143 or ACole@maryscenter.org if you are interested in receiving more information.
