This forum will look specifically at the important role that quality teaching plays in reducing the gap. Teacher quality is proven to be key to a child's academic success. Furthermore, evidence suggests that the highest-quality teachers are not teaching in the schools that need them the most?schools with a large proportion of low-income students of color and immigrants.
