When: August 2006 Where: See Below Salary: Commensurate with experience IONA is looking for a BI-LINGUAL GERONTOLOGICAL SOCIAL WORKER to serve as full-time Social Worker in the Department of Social Services. Conduct in- home comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop and implement care plans for seniors and their support networks. Provide counseling on psychosocial issues related to aging. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team. Lead support groups. Conduct outreach to vulnerable seniors. IONA Senior Services is a nonprofit community organization located in northwest Washington, DC. IONA is dedicated to enabling older people to live with dignity and independence. Through its professional staff, corps of volunteers and close collaboration with other organizations, IONA provides services and access to programs designed to meet the needs of seniors and their families. IONA educates and advocates to achieve a deeper understanding of and a strong community commitment to seniors. |
