Looking for a Research Site?Armed with your project ideas and research interests, you now need to find a research partner and site. A good place to start is to search through our Project Finder database to see if any community based organizations or community members have posted a profile of a project they need that matches your research interests. If you have already browsed through posted profiles and still unsure if any profiles match your needs, we suggest that you attend any community meetings or events related to your research interest. Getting to know the people and community you are interested in is the best way to foment the working relationships instrumental to making community-based research successful. Many District residents and non-profits hold regular community meetings grouped by neighborhood, ward, and/or community concern. Contact the offices of ward councilmembers or the local Police Department Advisory boards to inquire about upcoming community meetings and events. You may also contact us at CoRAL. We would be glad to help you get started via our personal networking channels. |
